The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Greater Kansas City Chapter is dedicated to providing education, support, and aid to the asthmatic and allergic public in Kansas and Western Missouri. AAFAKC was organized in 1982 as a 501 c 3, private not-for-profit organization under the charter of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, national organization, located in Washington, D.C.

The Greater Kansas City Chapter was formed in 1982 by local healthcare providers and patients and has continually provided programs and services to the community throughout its history. We have created several programs that have received national recognition and provide many services that are unique to our organization. We were chosen by our national organization to pilot three national programs that became cornerstones for AAFA. We have a long history of collaboration with other health-related groups such as the EPA, the Kansas Asthma Coalition, local health departments, school nurses and many others.
